Technical Questions

Q: The GoPro Max 360 is equipped with six microphones, but the audio in the challenge dataset is provided as single-channel 16 kHz audios.

A: Yes, this is intentional. While the GoPro Max 360 has six microphones, we have processed the audio to provide single-channel 16 kHz audio files for the challenge dataset.

Q: The audio in central_video.mp4 is dual-channel (with both channels being very similar and nearly identical), while the MP4 files in central_crops folder contain single-channel audio. When processing the central_video.mp4 file, if we need to select one of the channels for processing, or is there a different approach?

A: Both channels in the central_video.mp4 file are indeed identical or nearly identical. You can select either channel or both channels for your processing. The MP4 files in central_crops folder contain single-channel audio, it takes from the first channel.
